Big Girl Bed!!

Teagan is sound alseep right now in her big girl bed! (proof below) She's been refusing to sleep in it since we put it together, she put up a little fight tonight but then fell asleep.

Checkups

So both kids had checkups today...Teagan had her 2yr appt and Sutter his 4mo appt. I'm becoming so domestic, scheduling check ups back to back and all. I know for some that may not seem like a big deal, but for me to plan that far ahead and make the appts together is nothing short of a miracle. If sychronized checkups and synchronized naps were events at the mommy olympics I would totally win. Anyway, here are the stats (drum roll please)...

Sutter:
25.5 in (70th percentile)
17 lb 7 oz (89th percentile)

Teagan:
32 in (9th percentile)*
26 lb (40th percentile)

*Yes, I asked if she was really a midget and the dr. said no. April, I know you'll be dissapointed since you wanted a midget to rent that could wear a sombrero with chips and salsa on its head. Back to the drawing board with that idea.

Teagan's Two!!

Teagan,

You’re 2??!! Where did the time go? I still look at you as my little baby, even though you are turning into such a sweet beautiful little girl. Time sure does fly, but then again I can’t even remember life before you…what did we do?! I know one thing’s for sure; we didn’t smile and laugh as much as we do now before we had you. You are such a joy to have around; you make us laugh all the time. The things you come up with to entertain yourself and those around you are amazing. You are such a smart little girl; you talk in full sentences most of the time now. You tell us exactly what you want and usually insist on doing it yourself. You’re wearing size 3 diapers, 18-24 mo clothes and 6.5 shoes. You’re our little peanut:)

You LOVE being outdoors…you must get that from your daddy! You have no fear. You’ll go down any waterslide, you’ll go on any ride you can at Great America. I can’t wait until you’re tall enough to be my roller coaster buddy! But you’re still definitely a girly girl…you don’t like getting your hands dirty…if they do get dirty (heaven forbid) you come find us and say “I’m a mess” and that’s our signal to clean you up. You also love wearing dresses and “looking pretty” as you say:)

You are such a great big sister. You help us with Sutter any way you can; always helping, never jealous. You try to play with him even though he really can’t do much yet. But you’ll lay under his floor gym with him and show him all the cool toys that hang and how they work. He just adores you too, every time you look at him he just lights up. I can’t wait until you two can play together more.

Teagan, your daddy and I love you more than you’ll ever understand until you have children of your own. You are an amazing little girl and we can’t wait to see what the next year brings.

Love and kisses, forever and for always~

Big Ass Dog

I haven't taken the rest of the pics from Great America off the camera yet so this is the only one I have. Grandpa and Daddy won this for Teagan...needless to say she thought it was the BEST thing ever.

Mr. Mom

Here are a couple pics from Matt's day with the kids. Or should I say kid since Sutter is MIA in the pictures...apparently he was napping during all the fun.

Happy Easter!!

The Duck Incident

So in case you don't know Teagan loves rubber duckies. When she takes a bath there's almost no room for her because she has so many ducks. Knowing this the Easter Bunny brought Teagan a chocolate duckie. She was very excited about this, so I took it out of the package and let her have a bite. She bit off the beak and then to be funny I bit off the head. Apparently to an almost 2 year old, that's not funny. She first yelled at me and then cried. She continued to bring up how "Mommy chew the duckie head" for hours. We couldn't even get her to bed tonight because she was so upset about the duck! I've completely traumatized my daughter now...she's probably in bed having nightmares about it right now. Here are a few pics of the incident...one of the duckie before, then one after, and Teagan's reaction after.

Daddy's Hat

A couple of Teagan in her big girl bed. She took her nap in there today, but so far prefers to sleep in her crib. Now that Sutter is sleeping through the night I'm ready to get him outta our room so we need the crib! The last pic is of the kids in their coordinating outfits...Matt HATES it when I put them in "matching" stuff, I think it's cute though;)

Pics, Pics and More Pics

Here are some random pics...a couple of Teagan out ice skating for the first time with daddy. Next year we'll add the stick and puck...and teach her to body check!

We took Teagan on a couple rides at The Mall of America when we were up in Minnesota...Auntie Kim took her on the balloon ride!

Here's one more from the waterpark. The funny part is that Teagan was in the raft with grammy and papa, but apparently the water was taller than her!

Night at the Waterpark

We took the kids to an indoor waterpark last Thursday night and had a blast. Grammy and Papa came too. Teagan went down the big slide 3 times. After the third time she said all done water slide and that was that. She did great though, I was even a little scared on the slide...it was sooo fast but she loved it. I guess I'll have a partner in crime when she's old enough for roller coasters since her dad is a wimp and won't go on them!
